It's a great week to be an Abbott Elementary fan.
Just days after the show's Season 3 premiere — which featured cameos by Philadelphia Eagles players Jalen Hurts, Jason Kelce, and Brandon Graham — ABC announced that it had officially renewed Abbott Elementary for a fourth season.
The news came courtesy of Mr. Johnson himself (William Stanford Davis), speaking to members of the Television Critics Association (TCA) at their winter press tour. According to a press release from ABC, Abbott Elementary was the network's top-ranked multi-platform series last season. Series creator Quinta Brunson also took home the award for Best Actress in a Comedy Series at the 2024 Emmys, the first Black woman to do so since The Jeffersons' Isabel Sanford in 1981.
Given that Season 3 has only just started, there's no official release date for Season 4 just yet. But we can all rejoice in the fact that we'll be returning to Abbott Elementary for many episodes to come!
Abbott Elementary airs every Wednesday at 9:00 p.m. ET on ABC, with new episodes streaming on Hulu the next day.
